Everyone You Need to Know About the Akashic Records (Part 2)

Last week, we explored the basics of the Akashic Records and some frequently asked questions I get asked when a new client books an Akashic reading.

We also discussed some very practical and helpful ways you can use these sessions to support your self-healing goals and improve your life.

Today, I wanted to share a few more of the top questions that people ask me about the Akashic Records. I will also explore issues relating to accuracy and accessing the Records themselves.

Q. Are Akashic readings the same as psychic/medium readings?

Akashic Records readings and psychic/mediumship readings have a lot in common, but they are also quite different.

They are all highly intuitive. They both rely on the practitioner’s ability to communicate information received through their intuitive senses.

These intuitive senses may include:

• Clairvoyance (clear seeing) = seeing images & visuals
• Clairaudience (clear hearing) = hearing sounds, speech, music, etc.
• Clairsentience (clear sensing or feeling) = feeling energy, emotions & other physical sensations
• Claircognizance (clear knowing) = information or awareness about things with no prior knowledge of them
• Clairgustance (clear tasting) = strong tastes (and this includes non-food items!)
• Clairalience (clear smelling) = strong smells

Both types of sessions can explore past, present and possible futures.

In my experience, Akashic Records readings tend to have a higher-level perspective. Perhaps because these energies are rooted in the 7th or 8th dimension, depending on who you learn from. The information tends to focus on your spiritual experience, past lives, life purpose and karmic patterns.

On the other hand, psychics and mediums generally tap into the client’s personal energy field for information. Psychics often focus on the present and short-term future. They can help the client gain clarity about their current situation. Mediums share messages from past loved ones, which can support a person in their present circumstances.

In all of these sessions, though, the information is meant to offer guidance, clarity, and insights to help the client understand their life’s challenges, purpose, and potential paths forward.

Q. How can we know whether Akashic information is accurate?

The short answer is: you’ll feel it in your heart. Or you’ll feel it in your body… and you’ll know whether it rings true or not.

True or accurate information carries a frequency that most of us can feel very physically.

The quality of the information relies on the Akashic practitioner and their ability to communicate the messages they receive. In rare cases, the Akashic Records could theoretically be influenced by the beliefs and biases of the person accessing them.  

Be sure to choose an experienced Akashic Records reader who can help ensure the information is received and interpreted accurately. And of course, read testimonials to be sure!

I tell my clients that I am simply a messenger, sharing everything that I intuitively see, hear, sense/feel and know. I have ZERO judgment or preconceived notions about anything I am sharing. After all, this is YOUR soul’s journey… and you, and only you, know yourself best!

When you schedule an Akashic reading, remember to approach the Records with an open mind and heart. Sometimes the information comes through in a way that we don’t expect. It may take time and maturity to process what this means for us, right now and in the future.

Q. How can we improve the quality of the information from the Akashic Records?

As a client seeking an Akashic Records reading, spend time contemplating the questions you would like to ask. Meditate on the topics and themes you’re struggling with most. Ask questions that are specific and clear.

To get the most out of your Akashic reading, treat it as a sacred and Divine experience. Please don’t wait until the last hours before your reading to start this process.

I often tell my clients that their reading begins when they prepare their questions. If they are paying attention, they may get answers to some of these questions through signs and symbols. They might show up prior to their reading, in their daily life!

Q. Can anyone access the Akashic Records?

In decades past, it was believed that only certain people could access the Akashic Records. They were usually described as being highly evolved or spiritually advanced. 

Today, due to leaps in human consciousness, the Akashic Records are open to anyone who would like to access them. You need focus, pure intention, and a strong intuitive connection.

Some also believe that we access the Akashic Records whenever we are in a state of “flow”. Most of us aren’t aware of this.

That said, the Akashic Records are not the first place that people usually go on their spiritual journey. Especially since accessing them does require some personal responsibility and spiritual maturity.

The information can be profound and life-changing. It’s vital to approach it with respect and humility. It also helps to work with an experienced Akashic Records teacher, guide or practitioner who can guide you through the process and provide support and guidance for any questions along the way.

Q. How can someone access the Akashic Records?

Accessing the Records requires a state of openness, intention and focus. That’s all!

I do believe that in order to access the Akashic Records, you have to be able to access that still, silent place within yourself.

If this is new to you… meditation can be an extremely beneficial practice to help you quiet your mind. 

Many people access the Records through meditation or visualization practices. Others may use divination tools like pendulums or oracle/tarot cards. The most important part of accessing the Records is to approach it with respect, humility and a desire to learn and grow.

Whether you are a spiritual seeker or simply curious about the nature of existence, the Akashic Records can provide clarity, guidance, healing and comfort in a way that nothing else can.
