Hosting a pool party or special gathering? Or maybe it’s a regular Saturday afternoon? Need to taste summer in a glass before it’s over (and in what feels like) in the blink of an eye? Or just looking for something different from your usual green juice?
You’re in luck because I’ve got just the thing…
… My Citrus Goji Punch!
Bonjour! That’s French for hello… happens often when I get excited. So easy, so nutritious and of course so delicious.
Pretty much the trifecta and aim of all healthy recipes, wouldn’t you say?
The vibrant orange-red hue of this Citrus Goji Punch is eye-catching. It’s possible, if given half a chance, that it could even stop passerby in their tracks. If you’re avoiding public attention for any reason… Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Hinting at the impressive amount of antioxidants and carotenoids, including beta-carotene, that are found in Goji berries, this light, refreshing summer drink is ideal for warm weather picnics, parties and outdoor entertaining. This recipe is endlessly versatile because it serves 4 (as written) but it can easily be doubled or tripled for big gatherings.
Add as much or as little maple syrup as you prefer. I prefer this Citrus Goji Punch a bit more on the tart side (more like some beautiful version of goji lemonade) rather than a super sweet cocktail but make it the way you like it. Then share with all your friends… or make extras and drink it all. You won’t get any judgement from me!
I love serving this brightly flavoured punch with extra slices of fresh lemon or orange and it’s best served ice cold and/or with a castle of ice cubes.
Here’s a bonus tip if you want to make this like the pros would: use a nut milk bag to strain it. I highly recommend using a nut milk bag to strain the punch because I find it gives the best results (read: smooth, less grit – you’ll notice a big difference if you choose not to strain the punch at all).
